Missions
Do you have a heart for people?
Matthew 28:18-20 says, “And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
God’s church is his plan “A” and there isn’t a plan “B.” We believe that the core of every human heart there is a longing for Jesus. Jesus came and died for his church and it is through his church that Christ changes lives. We, therefore, believe that God is calling us to plant churches all over the world. We will be a church about missions.
Missions at City Church are a response to the call given by Christ:
To be His witnesses and to make disciples to the ends of the earth.
Global Missions
Center on efforts to establish, strengthen and multiply the local, indigenous church through the planting of local churches around the world.
Short-term Missions
Short-term missions create long-term disciples. We believe that short-term trips are for the purpose of proclaiming the Gospel to unreached people groups around the world. We want to equip indigenous church planters all over the world. Lastly, we want to encourage the long-term works who are investing in church planting strategies among the nations.
Long-term Missions
At City Church we define a long-term assignment as anything lasting two years or more. These assignments can include being fully funded by a sending organization, going through a sending organization but raising your own funding, or using your job, education, or retirement to serve on an international church planting team.
